Status Update
We are currently in the process of reopening; however, progress is dependent on required structural repairs being completed by our landlord. These repairs are necessary before we can proceed with our build-out and final approvals.
We have submitted our documentation to the Health Department and are prepared to move forward immediately once the space is cleared for construction.
At this time, we do not have a confirmed reopening date, but we are actively working to move the process along as quickly as possible.

The deli began with one man, Henry. In 1959 Henry's Meat Market was born on Florence Avenue in Downey. Henry grew up on a farm in Colorado and at just 14 he hitchhiked all the way to Hollywood, California thanks to strokes of luck and the kindness of a few passing strangers. In Hollywood, Henry found his way into butchery. Six years later he was able to open up his first butcher shop in Lynwood, CA.
